Overview

The Massey Ferguson 50 is a 2WD utility tractor that was produced from 1957 to 1964. It came equipped with either a 2.5L three-cylinder diesel engine or a 2.2L four-cylinder gasoline/LP-gas engine. The tractor could be configured with a gear type transmission with dry disc clutch offering 6 forward and 2 reverse gears or a two-speed power shift transmission providing 12 forward and 4 reverse gears. The MF 50 features manual steering with an optional power-steering upgrade, differential mechanical expanding shoe brakes, and a live rear PTO with a speed of 540 rpm. This model was designed with a simple open operator station and a durable construction suitable for a variety of tasks on the farm.
