Last Updated: July 2024

Overview

The Massey Ferguson 245 is a classic utility tractor respected for its robustness and versatility. Available with either a Perkins 2.5L 3-cyl diesel or a Continental 2.4L 4-cyl gasoline engine, it provided the necessary power for a variety of tasks with a rated horsepower of 45. Produced from 1976 to 1983, this tractor featured a choice of gear or partial power shift transmissions, power steering for easier maneuverability, and an open operator station for unobstructed vision around the farm. With a live rear PTO and a rear three-point hitch, the MF 245 is compatible with a wide range of attachments, including the Massey Ferguson 236 loader, augmenting its functionality.
