John Deere 4050

The John Deere 4050 is a 2WD or 4WD row-crop tractor from the 50 series, manufactured by John Deere in Waterloo, Iowa, USA from 1983 to 1988. The 4050 is equipped with one of two engines: a 7.6-liter (466 cu in) six-cylinder diesel engine or a 5.9-liter (359 cu in) six-cylinder diesel engine, both compatible with a partial power shift transmission featuring 16 forward and 6 reverse gears or a full power shift transmission with 15 forward and 4 reverse gears. The tractor offers features such as power steering, hydrostatic wet disc brakes, and could come equipped with either a Sound-Gard cab with air-conditioning or an optional four-post Roll-Gard ROPS. It also features a closed center hydraulic system with hydraulic wet disc clutch independent PTO available at 540 or 1000 rpm.
