The International Harvester 885 is a versatile tractor built with multiple configurations to suit a variety of tasks. Available in both two-wheel and four-wheel drive versions, it is designed to operate efficiently in different farming and utility applications. Manufactured by International Harvester between 1981 and 1985 in Doncaster, England, the 885 model comes standard with a comfortable cab, power steering for ease of handling, and hydraulic wet disc brakes for reliable stopping power. It is powered by a robust D268 four-cylinder diesel engine with direct injection, capable of delivering 85 horsepower at 2,400 rpm and a torque of 212 lb-ft at 1,600 rpm, suitable for various operations. The tractor can be fitted with one of two transmissions: an 8-speed synchromesh or a 16-speed two-speed power shift, enhancing its operational versatility.
