The International Harvester 340 is a 2WD utility tractor that was manufactured by International Harvester from 1958 to 1963. It came with a choice of gasoline or diesel engines: the C-135 four-cylinder gasoline engine with a displacement of 135 cubic inches or the D-166 four-cylinder diesel engine with a displacement of 166 cubic inches. Manual steering was standard with an optional hydrostatic power steering. The tractor was equipped with a range of transmissions, including a sliding gear, partial power shift, and a Fast Reverser transmission that offered up to 10 forward and 2 reverse gears.
