International Harvester 300

The International Harvester 300 is a 2WD utility tractor manufactured by International Harvester in the years 1955 to 1956. It features a 4-cylinder International Harvester C169 engine with a displacement of 169 cubic inches and is liquid-cooled. The tractor could be equipped with either a standard gasoline engine or an LP gas version, and it offered two transmission options: a sliding gear with 5 forward and 1 reverse gear, and the Torque Amplifier transmission – a partial power shift with 10 forward and 2 reverse gears. This machine was designed with an open operator station and utilized differential mechanical disc brakes. It came factory-fitted with 5.50-16 front tires and had rear tires typically sized 10.00-28. With a 75-inch wheelbase, the IH 300 was well-suited for a range of tasks and was notable for its IH Fast Hitch system, simplifying the connection of implements.
