The International Harvester 1466 is a versatile row-crop tractor that was in production from 1971 to 1976. It was available in both two-wheel drive (2WD) or with optional mechanical front-wheel drive (MFWD), referred to as four-wheel drive (4WD). Equipped with a powerful International Harvester DT-436 turbocharged diesel engine, it offers a displacement of 436 cubic inches and a horsepower rating of 147. The 1466 model comes with the options of an 8-speed gear transmission or a 16-speed two-speed power shift transmission known as the Torque Amplifier. This tractor has hydraulic power steering and hydrostatic dry disc brakes for ease of operation. It can be found with either an open operator station or an optional cab that features heating and A/C.
