Hart-Parr 16-30

Last Updated: July 2024

Overview

The Hart-Parr 16-30 is an early kerosene-powered, liquid-cooled tractor with an enclosed gear transmission and dry disc clutch. Its substantial 2-cylinder engine displaces 464.6 cubic inches with a 6.5-inch bore and 7-inch stroke, rated at 750 RPM. The transmission has 2 forward speeds (low 2 mph, high 3 mph) and 1 reverse gear. Weighing 8000 lbs with solid steel tires (28x5 front, 52x10 rear), it showcases rugged construction. Independent testing revealed a maximum belt horsepower of 37.03 HP and a rated 10-hour drawbar power of 15.29 HP. The governor system utilized a K-W magneto, Stromberg carburetor, and fly-ball governor. Lubrication was provided by a Madison-Kipp system, with an air cleaner of the United whirling vane type.
