Overview

The Ford 8N is a 2WD utility tractor from the N series. This iconic tractor was produced by Ford in Highland Park, Michigan, USA from 1947 to 1952. Known for its versatility and simplicity, the 8N Ford tractor came fitted with a 2.0 L, four-cylinder gasoline engine, and was available with either a standard constant mesh transmission consisting of 4 forward and 1 reverse gear, or an optional Sherman combination transmission that provided 12 forward and 3 reverse gears. It was equipped with a three-point hitch system, an open operator station, and utilized a 6V electrical system with an electric starter. The 8N was aimed at the small farm market and became one of the most popular tractors of its time due to its utility, ease of operation, and reasonable price.
