Ford 5600

The Ford 5600 is a versatile row-crop tractor that was manufactured by Ford between 1975 and 1981. It features a robust Ford diesel engine with either a 233 ci (3.8 L) or a 256 ci (4.2 L) displacement and naturally aspirated induction. This model has two transmission options: a two-speed power shift with 16 forward and 4 reverse gears or a gear type with 8 forward and 2 reverse gears, influencing the tractor's adaptability in various farming tasks. Equipped with power steering, differential mechanical wet disc brakes, and a rear three-point hitch of category II, the Ford 5600 was designed to be efficient and operator-friendly. Depending on the operator’s preference, it offered an open station with a two-post ROPS or an optional cab version. The Ford 5600's workability is further enhanced by its open center hydraulic system and independent power take-off (PTO), available in 540 or optional 1000 rpm speeds, allowing the tractor to power a wide range of implements.
