Farmall 806

Last Updated: July 2024

Overview

The Farmall 806 is a row-crop tractor that was manufactured by International Harvester between 1963 and 1967. It offered a choice between a 5.9-liter six-cylinder diesel engine and a 4.9-liter six-cylinder gasoline or LP-gas engine. The gasoline version, as tested by the University of Nebraska Tractor Test Laboratory in 1963, produced a maximum power of 94.64 HP at 2200 rpm with a fuel consumption of 6.47 Gal/hr and a fuel efficiency of 0.560 lb/hp.hr. At rated engine speed in 5th gear, it delivered 74.35 HP with a drawbar pull of 6705 lbs and a speed of 5.08 mph. The maximum torque was 276 lb.-ft. at 1500 rpm with a torque rise of 29.4%. The tractor could be equipped with an 8-speed unsynchronized gear or a 16-speed two-speed power shift transmission. It featured hydrostatic power steering, hydraulic dry disc brakes, and an open operator station. Additional notable specifications include a hydraulic system with a delivery rate of 12.0 GPM and a fuel efficiency of 13.95 Hp.hr/gal at the standard PTO speed of 1000 rpm.
