Farmall 1256

The Farmall 1256 is a versatile row-crop tractor designed and manufactured by Farmall, a division of International Harvester, from 1967 to 1969. The tractor could be configured as either a 2WD or an MFWD 4WD vehicle, accommodating a range of farming needs. It was powered by a robust turbocharged International Harvester DT407 diesel engine, delivering 113 horsepower to handle demanding tasks efficiently. The 1256 model was unique for its time with a choice of gear type or partial power shift transmissions; the latter offered 16 forward and 8 reverse gears. It featured power steering for ease of handling and optional cab versions for increased comfort. The rugged design came equipped with an independent hydraulic dry disc braking system. The Farmall 1256 also featured a standard three-point hitch system with a category III/II rating, facilitating a broad range of agricultural implements. Additionally, it boasted a 1000 rpm independent PTO and an open center hydraulic system.
