Challenger MT495D

Last Updated: July 2024

Overview

The Challenger MT495D is powered by a AGCO Power 49AWI engine, a turbocharged, air-to-air intercooled diesel engine with 4 cylinders providing a displacement of 299 ci and a bore/stroke of 4.251x5.276 inches. This engine is able to deliver a power output of 150 hp at a rated RPM of 2200. The tractor's steering is powered hydrostatically. The transmission of the MT495D is a continuous variable transmission (CVT) called Techstar CVT, providing infinite forward and reverse gears. Alternatively, an AutoPower VI transmission is available, offering a six-speed power shift with 24 forward and reverse gears. The MT495D model uses a closed center load sensing (CCLS) hydraulic system and features a rear type III/II hitch.
