Challenger MT485E

Last Updated: July 2024

Overview

The Challenger MT485E is powered by a turbocharged and intercooled 4-cylinder AGCO Power diesel engine with 144 horsepower at 1901 rpm and a maximum torque of 457 lb-ft at 1503 rpm. It features a liquid-cooling system with thermostat and variable speed fan, as well as a high-pressure common rail direct injection fuel system and Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) exhaust treatment. The transmission options include four-speed and six-speed power shift, as well as a continuously-variable transmission. Independent test results provide detailed performance data on drawbar operation, fuel consumption, hydraulic system output, and other operational metrics.
