Overview

The AGCO AGCOSTAR 8425 is a large 4WD farm tractor designed for heavy-duty work on large-scale farms. Manufactured by AGCO in Coldwater, Ohio, from 1995 to 2001, this robust machine comes equipped with a choice of two six-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engines – the Cummins N14 with a displacement of 855 cubic inches and the Detroit Diesel with a displacement of 774 cubic inches. However, the Detroit Diesel engine option was phased out after 1998. The tractor features an 18-speed forward and 2-speed reverse transmission by Eaton Fuller, hydrostatic power steering for ease of maneuvering, and hydraulic disc brakes for efficient stopping power. Designed for efficiency and comfort during long working hours, the AGCOSTAR 8425 also includes a cabin with heating and air conditioning systems.
